Re: Performance mods
yea but all of that is definetly not worth it in the least... your talking several thousands of dollars to kill the bike's rideablility for the sake of 5 horsepower that you will only see at redline... unless your a professional racer and the mods are being paid for by your sponsors, or your rich as hell and have a brand new gsx-r 1000 and have run out of things to spend your money on it is a total waste... because you don't need more power out of a bike if you can't use what you have 100%, and if you can then instead of modding that bike then you can just move up to a newer/bigger bike and not only make more peak HP, you will also make more hp from idle to redline as well as more torque and do so with factory longevity, and if you've moved up to the biggest baddest bike and still need more then you should be getting paid to ride
anything more than a pipe/jet kit and sprockets is redundant, your money would be better spent on good gear, track days, suspension tuning, maintaince, gas, insurance, saving up for your next bike or a track bike, a trailer, etc. etc... even in drag racing power isnt nearly as important as practice and suspension, you could take two identical bikes, put a turbo kit and nitrous on one, fully build the motor to the limit, and leave the other one bone stock except for a 25$ lowering link for the rear and a 15$ lowering strap on the front, and i guarentee you the near 400hp turbo bike will get raped every single time by the stock bike w/ equal riders
