Ebay fairings are fine, anyone with a little bit of know how can make them look good. May need a little manipulation to make them look perfect but its no big deal. They do tend to be a tad thinner than oem but not enough for me to not buy a set. I would look for one that has a tank cover so you don't actually have to paint anything.

The castrol kit on my rvt is a chinese ebay job, looked great before i tripped over the dog and stepped on one while i was working on the clutch.....
