you know i have had a coolant leak since i've had the car (about 6 months or so). the first time i was low on coolant i went to the vw dealer but the service department was closed. the salesman said coolant is coolant. so i've been putting coolant in there since then. i use the stuff that is already mixed. when i first started using it i noticed the pink coolant already in there but didn't pay any attention to it. even though i pour the totally different stuff in there the coolant still stays pink. on vwvortex i read something like if you use non-g12 coolant make sure it is approved for aluminum radiators or somthing like that. i've never really read a coolant bottle before so i don't know. so far i haven't had any problems. maybe i'll just break down and get that coolant leak fixed and use g12 for now on they already quoted me a price on fixing the leak and it was mad expensive and its not even leaking that bad. thats why i haven't gotten it fixed yet.
