just a quick update..... Car fires up just fine. It will sit there and idle nicely as long as you have your foot on the accelerator.( It will idle around 800 rpm). As soon as let off, the car starts to stumble, decreasing in revs until it dies.

The whole motor has just been rebuilt. has new plug wires, plugs, just about anything that you could think of that needs to be maintained.

I checked quickly for vacuum leaks last night when i fired it up. I didn't notice any large leaks. do you think a small vaccuum leak would cause such a problem?

In the meantime, i'll test out what you all have posted thus far.
