just got back from riding myself, it was alright... i activated my new phone last night and didn't realize you can't get incoming calls for 24 hours, so i don't know if you tried to call me or not, and i don't have any #'s programmed into it yet so i didn't have yours

my track bike won't start, my dumbass didn't think about how not starting it for 3 months might have killed the battery until the absolute last minute, so i took all the body work off of the 1000 so if i crash at the track atleast i won't ruin everything... well on the way to meet everyone at work some cop chases me down, he was writing a ticket to some car on the side of the interstate and as i pass him his head turns and follows me the whole way past, i'm doing the speed limit and cars are actually passing me but i was like damn he was looking at me hard... so i'm coming off of 295 which is 65 mph, it puts you onto 156 which is 55 mph and then it turns into a 45mph zone like 30 yards before this intersection... right at the 45 mph sign i hear sirens(no mirrors) and turn around and see him so i pull over and he says "you didn't reduce your speed when the speed limit changed", i'm like no shit do you want me to do a 70mph stoppie across the imagenary 55 to 45 line? its not like i kept going that speed for 10 miles, so i tell him that i must have a bad sense of speed because i don't have a speedometer, then he says thats even worse, and says that he can get me for 70 in a 45, no county sticker, no inspection sticker(both on my body work at home), no headlight, no tail light, no signals(that part i'm perfecly legal, its all or nothing, and i had nothing), no mirror... i explain to him my situation that my track bike won't start and i really don't want to risk going down at VIR in full 1,500$ fairings, he lectures me how he rides a harley(no wonder he chased me down) and he would never do something as stupid as ride with out a headlight(but i'm sure he wears a little brain bucket, where as i'm in full gear), i explain to him that i have no intention of riding at night like this and i'm literally not even 100 feet away from the dealer and he says do you want me to ticket you for everything or not so i shut up, even though i wasn't being rude and he gets me for no headlight/speedometer, i thanked him because he was doing me a favor, i'm not mad i got the ticket because i deserve it, but i was just pissed that he must have had to have run back to his car and done 120mph on the interstate to catch up with me, like he purposely said i'm going to go out of my way to get this guy, and he shouldn't even be on the interstate he was a country cop, other than its 4th of july weekend and they are in full force

but so everyone at worked had passed and seen me pulled over, so they are like you don't want to ride that bike past him again on that bike, park it inside and pick something off of the showroom floor... so i'm like a kid in the candy store, the red 2004 Aprilia Mille-R struck my fancy so i took that for the ride... god damn was it hot out there, i'm so glad to be inside now, i was hoping i might just see you guys in Williamsburg by chance but guess not... next weekend some of us definetly have to hook up though
