here is my exact setup:

short ram intake
DC headers
Greddy SP
no cat
Unorthodx racing clutch / fidanza flywheel
eibach springs
kyb agx
spoon chip

The reason I think my vtec kicks in at 5500rpm is because of the spoon chip.
