Sv650's are nice....but for a complete beginner, its far too sensitive and far too much torque. I'd say get a gs500f .......its a great starter bike that won't get u in too much trouble. Fast enough to beat any ricer out there too.

and also, i'd say buy a naked bike at first. if you're not comfortable with bikes just yet and a complete beginner. it will save you a lot of money in the end if you end up laying down the bike.
