9 is the magic number for the S50/S52 block, it's very reliable on stock internals. I never said I wasn't building the engine.. I know it's got some miles on it so I'm going to replace the pistons with 8.5 CE ones, I'll leave the factory forged rods. My compression should be decent at this point, 222 to the wheels with intake/chip/exhaust generally implies a strong engine. With the pistons I should be able to run 14-15 in race trim, 9 or 10 on the street.
I'm looking at one of the cars on boostjunky.com right now (99 M3) that's making 404hp at 11psi on 91 octane. I think I'm in the ballpark. This was a 16psi run on another OBDII M3 http://www.boostjunky.com/carlos16psi.jpg 433hp and 440tq to the wheels.
Who knows.. it is exciting though. I don't know of a single estoril blue turbo M3 out there.
