I would try this, but if it's as bad as it sounds, then you need a new engine. Luckily you can replace those things for like $50 and a ham sandwich. Check the for sale threads.

Try some lucas oil stabilizer. Next oil change use the lucas 1st & (i run 10w40 in my d15b7 '92 civic) then add the rest of the amount of oil to top off the fluid. See if that helps out any also. Sounds like valve seals are bad. You can pick those up @ any dealership (of course) OR advance auto parts.
