94 civic with b16a2 wont start... need help!!!
i just got done installing a b16a2 swap in my 94 ex civic 4 door. well i got everything wired up, everything grounded that i can see, got spark, can hear the fuel pump and pressure build up when the car is cut on, but it wont start!?!? i spray a lil starting fluid in it and it starts for about 1 sec and cuts right back off.... im pretty much stumped, i checked the timing, everything seems to be right.. any help would be awesome!!

He shouldnt be throwing any relevant codes if he hasnt been able to start it. If you have spark fuel and correct timing like u said take the cover off the ecu and check for any symptoms of a short. If none then check all vaccuum lines. When thats correct check grounds and electrical connections. What injectors do you have you might need a resitor box or replace you old one. Its hard to deterine your problem with out seeing you car. If youd like take it to dyno inc in va beach. darius lives for trouble hondas. And quadruple check timing

If you sprayed starter fluid in it like you said and it ran while it was being sprayed then YOU NEED A NEW FUEL PUMP!!!!!! Ive had the same problem with about 3 other swaps I did. Your getting fuel but not enough to keep it running. I told my buddy he needed a new fuel pump after we did a swap. He said BS there is nothing wrong with my fuel pump it is cutting on. I sprayed starter fluid in the intake and it ran so i said "see you need a Damn fuel pump" After about 3 hours I got tired of watching him screw around with the stupid motor and gave him one of my extra pumps. We put it in and the car fired up the first time. IMAGINE THAT!

I JUST pulled my old swap friday and put the new motor in sat!! My car run perfectly with a sohc vtec turbo and had plenty of fuel, there is no way my fuel pump went out without a motor even being in there for one day.... all the grounds are tight!
