Friday 3/5/04 DYNO EVENT!!
Hi-hoes, Hi-hoes, I'll smack you in the nose...whatever.
Anyway, I need 10 volunteers by EARLY TOMORROW MORNING to participate in a test run for Virginia Speed's future dyno events. They are trying to see how efficiently they can get cars on and off the dyno safely. They are hosting THE big Supra meet in the summer and it's going to be taxing, so I figured we could help out and have a little fun in the process.
This is by no means a big event, BBQ, specials, show, contest. This is simply you wanting to dyno your car, and watching others dyno theirs. You can do a wideband wrun or not, whatever you want to do, I believe the regular rates apply, but I'll find out. Of course, anyone is invited to come and hang out, maybe just to check out the shop or us on the dyno.
I can't vouch for anything about the shop yet, this is partly why I wanted to organize this...to see how they are.
If you think you can, feel free to mention so, but I am literally taking the first 10 RSVPs, then no more, that's how many they want. So if you RSVP and you really aren't sure you can or not, please don't screw those who can by saying you are. Did that make sense? I think so, but I'll try again.
If you are saying YES YOU WANT TO DYNO, then you better show, or that's only 9 people gonna be there instead of the 10 who could. That's they cut and dry. Once again, feel free to say you'll try, but if you aren't one of the first ten that say yes for sure you aren't a part. But go to the shop anyway.

Sorry I forgot to mention this will start around 2:30PM...ish. Pretty loose time, but I'll be working in the AM as well. I would say be there no later than 3 PM, and they may start people a bit earlier if there's enough to get started.

I dunno...as many as you pay for I think. Like I said, I am pretty sure there is no special running with this event, it was almost a challenge that I could get 10 people together in less than 24 hours...so I'm trying.

Merrill how'd you get in on this? Just wondering... I can vouch for Va Speed, it's a great shop and the people are cool. I drive by there every day for work and one day I slipped in to look around. I asked them if their dyno was up and running and they said sure is! Anway the facility is fantastic and will be perfect for hosting dyno days. I think for me it was $75 for two pulls w/ wideband ( a hair high ).
