Default No Mitsu in WRC

Has anyone noticed that Mitsubishi isn't running a factory team in the World Rally Championship this year?

Does anyone know why?

You'd think with the U.S. release of the EVO, They'd be sure
and at least be competing in it if not competitive

Yes I head the news too. I am quiet pissed off that Mitsu isn't running in WRC. In my opinion its Tommi Makinen's fault. TRADER!!!! After he left Mitsu they didn't do a damn thing.

pretty much they wouldn't have had a good team. so they didn't want to spend money on something that was going to make them look dumb. So, they are just not racing in WRC at all this year. or at least for now. maybe they will scrape up some good drivers and start in the middle of the year.

I noticed that too. Really wasn't a suprise to me. Allister McCrae wasn't enough of a foundation to build a good, strong team on, and with Colin and Carlos both joining the Citroen team, I don't think they'd have stood a chance. I'm sure they will make a return to the WRC though. What was really suprising to me was the fact that Subaru is only running two drivers, Tommi Makinen and Petter Solberg, both of which retired on the same stage in the Rallye Monte Carlo. Next up is the Sweden rally though, and Makinen is usually a strong competitor. Then again, so is Marcus Gronholm. All I can say is with or without Mitsu., this is gonna be a good year for WRC. Go Citroen!

Mitsu -- you're right it's all Tommi's fault. Especially since he hasn't done anything for Subaru either. and check your PM's

It seems like Subarus problem at Monte Carlo was tire choice.

The car ran well enough to be competitive. (Petter's at least)

BTW. I love the new design. I can't wait until April

there were tons of LanEvos running in the SCCA Pro Rally last season (2002)

but surprising HYUNDAI won the manufacturer's championship, with the new Tibby
