Re: Cycle whore thread
Mine is doing that because it has the original battery in it... Erm, did.
That'll be my latest purchase whenever the lady gets her first pay check. New battery and possibly a rectifier
Gel battery is rated to 35 Celsius BELOW. This factory battery might have worked 10 years ago, but today is just giving me head aches.
I may need to set up a "help me pay for a Ducati full exhaust, Ecu, and tune!" fund.
Also, screw the 800gs tat. Get the 1200 with the enduro tank and a Leo Vince full. Scary how nimble that bastard is. The horizontal headers just perfectly tips the bike over. No issues. Just ease.
Highly recommend that if you are looking at an on/off.
Multistrada also comes highly rated and loved.
You guys just have to remember when I am complaining about my bike, that it was built almost a decade ago. I'll love her forever <3

Re: Cycle whore thread
Yes, first time riding. She didn't want to get out of 2nd gear, and just stuck to big circles. Did pretty well and she's signed up for the TCC class next month.
Re: Cycle whore thread
Lol, DUR!
That is pretty awesome! Congrats. That helmet is pretty sweet, where did you get it?
Yeah, its so true . Although, I do have to point out carb rebuilds do have to occur
I'm curious to see if a new battery will fix my starting woes.
I hear ya, El, and I understand. I will buy a duc for a toy, not a daily. And I know it's a 10yo bike, but look at the post above. That's a 35 year old bike. And carbed, it will fire right up in freezing temps no prob, and is pennies to fix when compared to a Ducati, I am sure.
