Cycle whore thread
Re: Cycle whore thread
fucking suzuki.
it seems that there is a cyborg gorilla with a screw driver working the line at suzuki. every screw I've ever had to remove on this bike has been tightened down to the point where I have little chance of loosening it. long story short, I stripped the head on one of the carb cap screws.
but they can't use a simple, standard screw that you can find at any lowes or TSC... that would anger the screwdriver wielding gorilla cyborg... they need a m5-.80x12mm phillips screw with an under-sized head. the standard m5-.80x12mm screws i've found at every hardware store have had heads that are too big to fit in the recess. a #10x32x1/2" sae screw with a allen head is almost the right screw with the right head size, but the thread pitch and diameter is off just enough for me not to trust it.
tl;dr i just spent $12 with shipping for a single machine screw.
