Cycle whore thread
Re: Cycle whore thread
- Fuel injected
- Comfortable, but sporty ergos for anyone under around 6'
- Approachable seat height for midgets as well as men
- Engine performance is great for commuting/traffic
- Adequate for beginners and seasoned riders
- Not an overweight pig
- Good ground clearance as well as corner clearance
- Long suspension
- Light dual-sport capable
Downside?
The name Versys means versatile-system.
Because it's so versatile it excels at nothing. However, if you can have only one bike, it deserves a look.

31/32? 5'10", so average height.

Might be changing my direction after reading up a little more.... might go smaller and buy a used Rebel or CBR250. Wreck it like I know will happen, but get some good riding on easy roads and get used to it.
Then in 2-3 years buy the Scrambler, which I want now, but know it's a dumb idea to start on that haha!

Don't go into it with the mindset that you'll wreck.
But yes, smaller is better for many to start. You can find a 2012 CBR250 for $2500 now, which is awesome.
Mess around on one of those until you can take it through it's paces and then upgrade if you feel the need.
Know though, that there are lot of seasoned riders that keep a 250 in the stable because of how light/flickable/fun they are around town.
