Cycle whore thread
Re: Cycle whore thread
Tis the season.
I left the VFR out in the rain all week just to make it extra angry.
New chain, sprockets, brake pads, clutch, oil change, and various other tiddly bits are ready to go on.
Whose RC51 is that?
It's sexy.

Re: Cycle whore thread
Jones makes me want to track so bad. Dumped a ton of money recently so I'm poor. I did get my wife an R3 I may steal for the track in spring
Re: Cycle whore thread
DO IT! Word of the wise, put some Dunlop Alpha13 tires on it and a Ninja 650 rear shock then you're good to go. Stock tires are stupid slippery and the rear shock makes the bike feel like a pogo stick along with dragging the kickstand. Might drag stock rear sets, too. I have eBay risers for my rearsets and they've worked out well so far. Other than my exhaust and PC5, I have like 350 in parts to make it track ready lol.

Looksike a blast. I am a lot heavier than you so that's my biggest concern with the R3. I ride a K9GSXR600 and love it. I spoke to my wife and I think we're going to go to the N2 track class at NCbike in spring.
I know I am not capable of pushing my back even near its limits. I would love to learn a bit more in a track/closed setting.
Anyway man keep posting up gnarly pics, I will hit you up in spring when we go to see if you'll be out there.

I'll be out there with N2 and EvolveGT next year. I think I'm done with TPM. Track time is just great. You'll learn more in one track data than years of riding street

Re: Cycle whore thread
Awesome, yeah I'll be looking forward to it. If I had the cash is get a comfortable cruiser for pleasure riding and just keep my SS for the track. If only I had gobs of disposable income lol.
Re: Cycle whore thread
Lol when you go to the track, you're starting a new addiction that will never end. Let me know when you plan on going and we can pit up together. I have everything needed so all you'll have to do is bring your bike and camping gear if you were going to camp
