I take it oil is leaking onto the exhaust on the intake manifold side of the motor? Try puting the vehical up on jack stands an check to see if the oil pressure sending unit is leaking, may look like the oil filter is leaking. How fast is the leak, slow drip or fast drip ? IF you still are having trouble with it PM me.

The H23 is known to leak at the o-ring that goes between the oil filter cooler adapter (the part the filter screws onto) and the block. There is an o-ring that goes between there and it gets old and cracks and bam bad oil leak right over the exhaust. I would look into it. It's a cheap part to replace.
It's number 33 in the picture.

I appreciate all the reply's guys. Here's a pic of where the oil is pooling. It is a part of the block that sticks out beyond the head and has a groove in it. This is on the back side of the motor below the filler cap. I figure it must be coming from above this point. That is why I started with the Valve cover gasket. It is leaking alot, about 1 quart per 100 miles. so oil is everywhere and kinda makes it hard to narrow down.

its something I would have to see in person......It might be the seals on the corner or around the cam before the cam gear....Its not below the IM, so its not leaking out of the head gasket, so it must be something up around the Valve Cover right?
