its not about proper or improper. jumping that harness is A proper, fast, and reliable way of doing it. thats why its there. its a dummy harness

at any rate, ive never heard of moisture on sensors causing this problem. you may have gotten moisture IN something though which could be causing it to throw the code.

I dont understand why you are getting pissed off when people are trying to help you. You said you wanted to get some suggestion "tonite". So, people tried to give you a suggestion. Jumping that clip to check the CEL is there for a reason. You could've checked that CEL on your own in less than 2 minutes. That's almost faster than any of your reply on this post...... Relax.

i worked at hall honda and jumping it is the right way to do it. So u can go ahead and pay someone a couple hundred dollars to do it for your obd1 car or do it ur self. Ricer kids these days and their civics.

Sorry for the dickish behavior, I didnt realize that was the actual method of doing it. Came out with a #41, heated o2 sensor. Thanks for the help

obd1 and 2 use the check engine light to flash the code. once you jump the harness the check engine light will flash out the code
