Paint remover from home depot or something or would autozone or pep boys have something like that? What grit sandpaper should I use?

old paint can act as primer, just sand it and paint over it like everyone else is telling you. you dont need to strip them all...unless you want no paint on it whatsoever.

if u really want the paint off
use some paint stripper from home depot works great.
or u can sand them down wit 600, 1000, 2000 then prep and paint

DO NOT SAND.

2 cans of Aircraft paint remover from the auto parts store.

spray on till you cant see the wheels anymore, let it sit for no less than 30 min and rise with a hose, make sure you wear long pants and shoes. the shit will burn your feet and legs.

Can you spray on the paint remover on the wheels with the tires still on if I tape over or cover the tires somehow?

ive done this to my bottlecaps...i stripped them cleaned then sanded them then primed then sanded then sprayed my color and then spayed my clear...they look aight..ima do another set here soon

Paint stripper will work but you gotta be careful with some of them because they do more then just strip the paint they might F* up your wheels too.. but that's only if you get like the most powerful kind.
