Want to go nice? House of Kolor IS CHEAP! The paint is so inexpensive. The only reason anyone "thinks" its expensive is because of the custom colors they have. All brand's have custom colors. Dupont also, they just dont advertise them as much, but the book is caledl "Hot hues" Which has tons and tons of custom colors.


Use the same paint for both fiberglass/metal. Dont prime it unless it needs it, (to cover body work, or anywhere the factory finish has been cracked) There are soooooooo many ways to doing things its hard to ask one person. Personally, if i were doing it..id DA it with 320, seal it, base it, then clear. But a lot of people save the hassel and wet sand it with 800. Each brand of paint, can require different prepping techniques.

Also, gold isnt a very good color to learn with either.

U can buy from a company called TAPE or u can go out to Virgina Beach Tech Center and talk to autobody collison teacher and he might hook u up

I'll paint it for you. Being gold i can't guarantee the best color match. Gold is an extremly hard color to match. I can get it DAMN close though to where you probably wouldnt notice unless i said something to you about it :x whoops.

Anyway, yeah....id paint it for you. I'll do all the work thats needed and the paint materials for 60 bucks. The problem is WHEN i can do it. I have shit to paint for sung, and i have 3 cars at my shop that have been there for 2 weeks and i havnt even started the least bit of work yet :| So im going to have to start devoting some of my overtime to getting those cars out of the way.
