Where can I buy, and who can replace?

Re: Where can I buy, and who can replace?
(Update post, sorry for a double.) Okay.. other gagues work... it's definitely the speedometer with the problem. I'll get one of those guides Tuesday, but how can I test to see if it's the cable (Or something else?) at the moment.
(Would get a guide sooner, but broke til pay day.)

Thanks. Any other advice? Maybe I should make a general topic for this car fix.
Thank all of you for not being... rude when I asked dumb questions (Like the button, lol) Any repair advice, maybe even precautionary things I might want to replace would be appreciated.
Okay... I called a place to help me, and I either need a new sensor, or speedometer. The speedometer apparently costs 100+... The labor is like, 215. Ouch.

Fuck that, you can get a new VSS off ebay for <$20 shipped.
Took me about 15 mins to replace mine on my prelude, a D series should be even simpler.
and even if it was the speedo itself, you can get a stock eg cluster for an auto for like 20-30 bucks off here.

Well, I would also need to find someone who can come to where I live and install the speedo. Actually, first I would need them to diagnose the actual problem, be it the speedo or sensor. There's no check engine light on, so as far as I understand, it's the speedo, not the sensor.

Re: Where can I buy, and who can replace?
When mine was bad, it wouldn't always throw the code, even if the speedo wasn't working. Mine was intermittent, so if the code was off, and then the speedo started working, then my vtec would work.
If the code was on, and the speedo worked though, I still wouldn't have vtec.
I'll do the work for like $20 depending on where you are at.
