I'll have to pull a stud from the driver's side to get a picture of it.
Shawn... It's two different thread diameters, and I'm not talking about on opposite sides. There are two different thread diameters on the same side. It's odd. Getting one made would be an absolute last resort. It's a tiny little part, I'd probably drill it out and put a heli-coil in there before I went through all that trouble.

Edit: Does the thread look like this?

Yes, it's a hi-lo. I didn't think it (the mirror base) was plastic, but maybe I'm wrong. It would have to be some awfully tough plastic if it is.
If I could just find some hi-lo bolts that match, I could use just that. I've been to three autoparts stores, a Lowes, and a Home Depot.... no luck.

They might use those in die cast metal too, I can't remember. They're usually used in soft materials though.

There is no source for them that I have ever been able to find man.
They are M6x1.0 on one end, M8 hi-lo thread on the other, male on both sides. I have successfully drilled them out, installed helicoils with epoxy on them, and then either made a stud out of a bolt with the head cut off or ran bolts in.
Those mirrors break often if you hit them wrong, and one of my utility customers tears them up often.
