If it's a DD, 4door or truck. More space, better ride quality in longer wheel base vehicle. Now just decide if you want a bed or a 4door Jeep. Jeep has a real front axle and you'll bit the bullet and lift it and buy bigger tires. Then will you like driving it as a DD.
I'm a Jeep guy an say 4door JK but I to get tired of hooking up my trailer when I want to haul something and would love to have a truck.

I do LOVE the 4 door's.. a Lift and Tires will be going on directly after I purchase it.
Whats the issue with the JK's? Any? I hear the transmission heats up and blows easily

Older JK's have the minivan motors in them and people complain about thier lack luster performance. New JK's have the new motor in it that people are going nuts about. Personally haven't driven a new one yet. I'm a straight 6, 4.0 fan for life but I hear the newer motors are good platforms.
As far as interior on the TRD. You can change out stereo's, speakers so thats a plus. Can't help with the rest. Drive both, see what deals you can get, decide from there.
Good thing about both is they hold decent value so resell shouldn't be an issue if you buy right.
