I think we got everything figured out over on advrider. theyve been cleaned, bathed, reassembled, and now i Just need to adjust float, which i'm still waiting on an explanation on in advrider because the clymer is ambiguous as hell adn youtube is unhelpful to this point.

assuming that each side is the same as the other (they're not bent or fucked up) just bend the tab that sits on the plunger to adjust the height.
I'm not sure what the correct height is or where you're supposed to measure it from on those carbs though... sorry.

Just gave the airbox a whipedown after I was finally able to get that hinge to flip up and let the unit out:

After the quick whipe-

Thanks again bronyaur. That pic definitely helped me get this bitch installed, WHICH IT IS!

-Closed up the float bowls (after applying brake fluid to the gaskets)

-Made sure the insulator was on tight

-Moved the airbox back as far as I could

-Hooked up the throttle cables

-Installed the carb onto the insulator(easier, but still annoying than last time

-Pushed the airbox forward so the air tubes would meet up w/ the carb

-Hooked up the chokevalve (thanksagain). I actually didnt have the screw that secures that choke valve bracket to the front of the carb body (left of valve in pic), but was lucky enough to find a random screw on my "pile of excess/old parts" that fit perfectly. win!

Going to go bolt the airbox back on now. My new air filter shoulbe here in a few days, after which I can install that and close up the airbox. Once the chain guide gvthnx sent me comes, I"ll take of my chain, install the guide, replace the chain, and then make final adjustments on the back wheel.

What should I tackle next? I began taking a steel brush (dremel) to my exhaust manifold because its so dirty/rusty. Sadly the steel brush is small as fuck, so its taking forever. Might have to use that angle grinder

Bike reaching final stages. Only auxiliary things remain. Got my ignition in teh mail today. Waiting on the mounting bolts, and then it'll be installed. Soon to have chain guide installed, chain reinstalled, drive sprocket cover installed, rear tire aligned & installed, various cables installed (clutch, decompressor, etc), make adjustments on all cables/brakes/etc, install the exhaust manifold and tail pipe, seat, gas tank, fill with oil and gas, runz0.

1month.

i'm getting stoked about this. be sure to run a good amount of oil through before running. that is if you didnt reassemble with engine lube.

Threw the engine up on my end table, grabbed a bucket to sit on, and got to work.I was in the process of splitting the case a few days ago and stripped one of the hex bolts securing the halves.
