i just looked at your thread... he hasn't even ran that 11.8 yet, hes hoping to hit that. if you'd like i can pull up camaros i have read about and start posting their times?

And go ahead and do it. And no, you wont run a 11.8 at all. You'd need gears, a new rear end, slicks, and one hell of a fucking launch. All of which you dont have. I know very well what the LS1 is capeable of, but it seems that you have no clue what foxbodies are capeable of. There's a reason they're considered the go fast cheap car.

which is why i said i was thinking about selling my car to get one...

and the car you posted... he was running slicks and a clutch just from what hes put on there now... hes not just running a cam on cobra heads

i know i'd need a new rear end, but with just a cam its attainable, actually i could get an 11.8 with a stock internal motor. just put gears on and a rear end... it may be a little harder with the M6 than an A4, but it could be done. (and yes i know i would need a clutch)

Oh no doubt you could do it, but all I'm saying is, just beacuse a foxbody has HCI doesnt make it fast. If the combo is thought out poorly, then it obviously wont run anywhere near as fast as it should. HCI foxes can trap 120mph on the stock 302ci shortblock with a well thought out combo, and with FI (which is what the motors really love) they're well into the 10's and high 9's with the stock 302ci shortblock.

And AFR heads are $1250 a set, foxbody parts are dirt cheap compared to anything else. Comprable heads for an LS1 are what, $2500 a set?

never looked in to see exactly how much they are because i won't be buying any... cuz they are about what you said

ya after i had posted that i was talking to my cousin like i said and he said its still untuned and gave me some other things.... supposidly hes taken it to MAS 4 times because when they put the motor together it kept leaking, and they would always mess the timeing up to where i think he said it was -2 degrees and he would be driving normally and during acceleration it was backfiring
