You aim headlights on a calibrated headlight aiming machine. Has nothing to do with bumper height. You will fail inspection if you have coilovers that the springs just drop when you jack it up.

i know this much im just a little over a year fixing POS's and learning the inspection on them including the headlight aiming/pattern i havent got to deep into the height + blah with it but basics are down

Some of the inspection requirements are ridic. though. My shop is right in front of the "ghetto" area and we see a lot of shit..that should be condemned haha.

We never use our headlight machine unless the headlights are obvious to the eye looking at it, then we bring the machine out so we can show the customer on it if we have to.

NP ive seen people come in with rotors wearing on the caliper down to the cooling fins, tierods that move half the steering travel, and balljoints that are ready to fall out all while the customer is bitching about why they wont pass
