Tahoe... Chevy 5.3 LSX V8 has more grunt than the OHC Ford motors of that era.

It has 330 ft-lbs of torque vs the 5.3's 335 ft-lbs, im sure that 5 ft-lbs makes a huge difference.

It's all about where it makes the torque and for how long... the chevy has pushrods so it of course wins the torque battle
