some honda have more torque then what people think lol i already have a custom turbo kit with everything just the actual turbo is causing me trouble. it's a d16z6 engine SOHC using a HF mani. i would go t3/t4 but i think it would be kinda big for a 1.6L. to do it right, i would need to buy a brand new turbo for 500 to 600. hey cosmo, i PM you about your friend but you haven't PM me back yet

Sorry. It's supposed to give me a pop-up saying I have a PM. I just e-mailed a friend of mine to get his phone #. I'll send it to you when I get it.

I am pretty sure the HF manni will work on any SOHC D16A/Y/Z

16g-95gsx is an unknown quantity at this point

Like I said why not just buy a TD05-16g? They can be picked up for about 450 bucks brand new and it would outflow that T-25 by a solid 50%. The most you can really blow out of a T25 is around 25lb/min. I was pushing my TD05-16g to 34-35lb/min when I finally removed it which is about its flow limits, and boost was felt starting around 2500, with full boost hitting around 3-3100 in my 2.0L 8.5:1 CR. On a 1.6L Id imagine that turbo should still spool relatively low, probably around mid 3's depending on the compression and it would be more than capable of everything youd ever throw at it on that motor. If you still insist on using a used turbo, then at least get a 14b that is in very good condition. A 14b will flow around 29-30lb/min at most, so a solid 5lb/min or 20% roughly over the T-25, all while costing the same amount.

How is this the case? If you take two turbos, one being say for example a 60trim, and another being a 16g, both turbos flowing completely different max flow rates, then you force both of these turbos to flow say 8-10psi for sake of example, both turbos will flow roughly the same, the difference will be extremely negligible however their spool times will vary greatly. If you run a turbo in regions where it is extremely efficient it will not perform any differently than a turbo 3x its size in those same regions. I understand that hondas rev very high, so that the grams of airflow per rev would drop off in the topened if they arent careful, however they run 1.8L which should more than make up for any dropoff from what a turbo would perform on my 2.0L. I just dont see anything more than a 16g sized turbo on a setup running under 10psi.

Pressure and flow rate are not the same. A T25 at 15 psi is not the same as a T66 at 15 psi.
