Re: Cycle whore thread
I had some ass pull out in front of me 35 feet away from me as i was going 55 mph today. Figures, as I was the only one on the road and he looked right at me. Thankfully it happens less down here than when I lived in NoVa.

Re: Cycle whore thread
It's time for an oil change again, and I don't feel like spending a fortune on motorcycle specific oil. Is it alright if I put normal 10w-40 synthetic blend in my bike rather than motorcycle specific 10w-40 fully synthetic?

What was the bike broken in on, and you always have to use motorcycle specific oil.

Re: Cycle whore thread
I'm not completely sure what the bike was broken in on...whatever the dealership put in the motorcycle when I purchased it new and at the 600 mile maintenance. Once I hit 4,000 miles, I put royal purple synthetic motorcycle oil and have been running that till today (7,000 mi.).

If you don't want to jack your clutch, I'd suggest keeping with moto-specific oil. You could prolly switch to a cheaper synthetic, but I'd just stick with what you've been running if the bike has performed well.
