Any decent parent wouldn't take their kid out at night in sub 50 degree weather to get beer. If the guy had a car at least there would be a warm place for the kid during the trip. Except the kid is in the elements just so Daddy can get lit when he gets home.

I mean if i was hungry and wanted beer with 7-11 and a Hardees up the street from my house, Yeah id plop my daughter in her stroller and go grab a case and some food......i see no issue here.
