It was sold in September '09 at auction (on ebay) as a '73 C20

"This truck started as a 1973 C20 3/4 ton pickup. For the movie it was heavily altered by being chopped, shortened and outfitted with unique body lines to make the truck appear futuristic. The door handles were shaved, a new interior was fabricated, and this particular Hero truck was rigged with camera mounts underneath and in the back for closeup duty. When you see closeups of Kable shooting out the windows, it was this truck. Fake bullet holes line the tailgate from the heavy battle. Moviemachines TM was created to offer unique vehicles and props from Hollywood normally unavailable to the general public. In the past we have sold such classic movie cars as the Starsky & Hutch Torinos, General Lees from the Dukes of Hazzard, Inspector Gadget Lincolns, Terminator 3 vehicles, Death Race Mustangs, XXX GTOs, Fast and Furious 1, 2 and 3 cars, Flinstones prehistoric vehicles, Men In Black police cars, MI2 motorcycles, and so many others. Our goal is to be the premiere provider of movie cars to the world. Winning bidder will be required to sign a simple Release of Liability form before transfer of ownership. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity.

VEHICLE CONDITION: This truck is in great running condition. It starts easy and runs smooth. The 350 appears newer and has a hi performance Edelbrock 4 bbl carb. Tranny shifts great with no known problems. Truck has power front disc brakes and power steering. Radiator is new. Chassis in front has been caged for strength with mounts for cameras and extras like a remote door popper and line lock for the brakes. The body has some minor battle damage in the front right fender. It has numerous scratches and chips from use. The tailgate has bullet holes from screen use. The bed floor was removed in back but there is a sliding tanneau cover to close over it. Small fuel cell is also in back. New dual glasspack exhaust sounds good. Tires are hi performance 305/45/22s on 22 XD rims (very cool!) that are as new. Rear end is a Detroit locker type. Inside the cab has been redone with nice lowback grey bucket seats, custom center console, fabricated dash with working speedo/tach/temp gauges and movie applied shotgun blast marks. Power windows and remote for door poppers to open the doors from the outside. Steering wheel is custom. The column is somewhat loose (from the tilt feature). Carpet is in good shape and headliner was resecured as it was drooping. Glass is in good shape. The shotgun hole above the driver in the roof was closed in with plexiglass to keep out water but still offers an excellent view of the night sky (ha). Headlights are low on the grill and the taillights function (LED) but no turn signals. Will need seatbelts too. Grill has a massive front pushbar to afford direct building entry if desired. This vehicle is nasty looking and will certainly be the main attraction at the next car or truck show. Second damaged version available so email with questions. Good luck bidding on this unique piece of Hollywood!"
