To make it simple, any modification from stock is illegal in VA.
So do what you want and don't get on here and cry when/if you get a ticket.
Most of the time they won't bother, but some just love them imports with that big ole shiny muffler on the back.
That's why i have a 2.5" dp to an es muffler that is painted black.

Addressing all users of loud exhausts: A residential neighborhood is no place for a loud exhaust. Please don't buy or rent a house or apartment in a neighborhood if you want to use a loud car or truck...go live in the rural areas away from dense housing. Thanks.
