Knew someone with a late '90s Jeep grand Cherokee that had body lift. They got rear ended one day and the lift blocks tore right through the floor and the body was once again on the frame.

Explain to me exactly how he had a body lift on the ZJ/WJ? I can guarantee you it was never body lifted.

Dunno. Dude in high school had some cheap lift stuff on his jeep for his big chrome rims he said it was a body lift. The accident he was in made a lot of his suspension no longer connected to the car. The wheels tucked up real nice though.

Okay gotcha, well FWIW, Grand Cherokees are unibodied, the body always sat on the frame because it's all one piece.

My opinion, Body lifts are for the WV/AL fuck their daughters type rednecks. It looks fucking ugly as shit, I have yet to this day ever seen a truck/suv/ect look good with a body lift. When you ride behind a truck with a body lift where the bumper is gapped from the body, you come along side and see the 2-4 inch gap between the frame and body, its just fucking ugly. Don't waste the money because its cheap, do it right the first time.

Thats my opinion like it or not.

NOT TRUE!!!!!!! Not all trucks/suv look ugly with body lifts. Yes some do but there are plenty out there look good with body lifts. In fact my old dodge had a 3" Body lift and couldn't even tell it. It looked like a high dollar suspension lift if you pulled up next to it. NO GAPS ANY WHERE AT ALL you could not see the frame either. As soon as I can find the pictures of it I will post them to show. All I had was a 3" Body lift and a front leveling kit and was running 36" tall tires on my 05 Dodge Ram 1500.
