Tell you what. I will make it a point to post here, and on the mailing list when we will be doing setup's. They are always the day before, usually around 11:00.

People in the club definatly know what it's like to be novices. We've even made changes to help the novices out. It wasen't too long ago that I was a complete novice, sitting at the line the first time very nervous not truely knowing what to expect.

that still doesn't change the fact the ppl are getting practice, and an advantage over other racers. some of us can't make it out on saturdays. i guess i won't make it out on sundays either

I will admitt that I have helped on saturdays to set up and have run the course. I don't think I have ever done it in the car that I compete in and I don't go as fast, but it still a fast look at the course. This is one reason that VMSC only lets novices be passengers during an auto-x.

But the truth be told that while you get to run the course in advance, it doesn't always make you faster. Case in point, I normally beat Tom Yost at events at VMP in his Integra (southside is the opposite). Tom set up a particularly fast course at Cloverleaf and they did the set up on saturday. They got to run the course on saturday, but I beat most of those people on sunday.

I think some of you are missing the point. This is for fun. If you want more from it, goto an evolution school, compete at 2 or more ProSolo's and goto Nationals.

Good, then, you can't let stuff like this bother you. Seat Time is Seat Time.

Hahaha, you are full of it.

I just wanted to ****e it up.

I have done set up many times. Dana and I usually take the bimmer. I drive the crap out of it. It is an advantage. That is for sure. But you know what? I will do it everytime I can. I have more fun setting up than I do at the race.
The only reason I show up for the event is for fun. If I really wanted to compete I would not race a 3000 pound VW.

On the other side:
I thought it was public knowledge, even nonmembers are there.
