The 2G drive shaft's flange is at the rearend only. The front is a slip in style. The driveshaft also has 2 carrier bearings that are bolted to the body. No unbolting done by the t-case.

FYI, I'd kick some ass if my driveshaft was hanging and happened to smack against the ground a few times and screw it up. That bastard isn't cheap. A ~3 foot long shaft hanging by a bungiee unless it is really tight will be hard to keep from bouncing.

and why would it be bouncing if it was tied?

again, for the sixth time...it is best to rollback....but you CAN do it. its not the best way or the easiest, but it can be done.

comprehension is a wonderful thing.

Comprehension is great but risk isn't always worth the result.

What does a bungee do?? Hurm they were designed to stretch if I remember correctly. Maybe you should ask yourself that question?

i know exactly what they do: stretch to keep things tight.

ratchet straps work too. anything to hold the driveshaft up out of the way works. if you pull a bungee tight enough, it will keep it up. not that hard to do.....

as said earlier......rollback is the best. but....it CAN be done....

i towed that VR4 off the interstate for 20 miles, and there were no adverse effects. bungee worked great.

but of course, everyone wants to argue with someone, otherwise this wouldnt be DragVA

all four wheels on the ground just put a ball on the rear of the car and put the hitch on the back of what you're towing with then hook them onto a helicopter lift the whole car and do donuts while swinging your t-shirt around your head and singing petey pablo

How can your spinning transmission with "no" load on it cause damage? It has more stress put on it through shifting and day to day driving...explain your theory cause I call This thread is gay and so is dragVA.
