I wanted to, but I couldn't find a tie rod end or a control arm. Plus the inner fender was a little torn and needs to be patched.

You asked every Spec E30 owner there for a tie rod end and no one had one?

I'll give you some slack because it's only your second time out in the racecar, but even duct tape should be used for something as unimportant such as a tie rod. Use your head.
