Anyone down to play golf tomorrow around the Peninsula?

Re: Anyone down to play golf tomorrow around the Peninsula?
Kempsville is going to be nasty tomorrow dorko. It's been raining quite a bit here, and I play there all the time because I know the pro.
Easy course.
I'm headed back to school tomorrow around 3pm, so no go for me...sorry.
And the R-80 on his TiBubble driver doesn't mean the weight, it's actually TaylorMade's old flex measuring. It is likely a 55 or 65 gram shaft...an 80 gram shaft would be heavy as shit considering how small the head is on that club.
Those shafts suck...the clubs are old and outdated.

well it is the best drive i have at the moment! it was free
the only other driver i have is a poop dunlop womens driver. I've had that for about 7 years, and got it for the flex. it was brand new when i got it.

And I'm with Levi. Just about any course is going to be a lot of mud or really, really squishy. Not a lot of courses have real good drainage around here and stay wet for a few days.
As for equipment, I've only been playing for a few years so I'm only up on the newer stuff.

well fuck non-draining golf courses.!!!
kiln creek was frozen. 1 of my tee shots bounced all the way across one of their lakes.
i went and got it from the other side of the lake and shot from there.!
it was awesome!

I think you and I actually played out there one time before Levi. (I used to be taz757)

That was shortly after I had surgery on my back from golf in high school lol.

And yeah man. All day, erreyday. It's paying the bills, that's foh sho.
But yeah, after you get back and it warms up, we'll have to play again. I actually got a chance to go to Kingsmill this summer and play the River course. Played it from the low handicap tees (blue) and managed to shoot a 105. Considering that course and how long I've been playing, I'm pretty happy with that score. There wasn't a par 4 that was under 400 yards from those tees.

Yeah. I think that's when it was. Couple of years ago now I think. My game hasn't really got much better. Always a work in progress.

I had a tournament when I was 19 there, first day Woods Course, second day Plantation Course, third day River Course.
Going into last day, was four strokes back going into the back nine. Shot 29 (-7) coming down the stretch to win by 3 strokes...and tied what the pro said would be a record for any nine holes out there. Mind you, back tees
I've played the River Course twice, shot 69 and 65 respectively. Course is hard, but that is by far the course I play the best at...sets up very well for the power game.
