If you are in Ghent and want to find a chill ass bar and prob grab a pie and a beer i would def hit up Cogans 
. You get a good mix of people with a chill ass attitude. Good selection of beer from cheap to a bit pricey and some good ass pie. Oh yeah, Richmond has a good amount of Hipster girls too. Love going up there. Good times all around

where is that? i used to live on merrimac, hated that neighborhood. (grew up/currently live in the elmwood area).
they have construction on main st AGAIN (just further south). takes forever to get around
