I couldn't snap the picture fast enough. On 64 there was a Mk6 that was plasti-dipped that color change bullshit look, over spray on the lights and emblems

Apparently DYC is experimenting with some new gloss coats and they look pretty amazing. Almost like paint. I'd never even consider Plastidip until that is released. The color-changing shit is one of those things that looks good on a supercar and completely stupid on pretty much anything else. Doing it right and actually making it look good is difficult especially with those color changing ones. I'd definitely pay an authorized installer to do it, but at that point you're looking at over a grand for something that ultimately is going to last 3 years at best. I like the direction that they're going in, but it's still too expensive and too temporary to be a true alternative to paint.
