Okay this is a weird one
Okay so i talked to a guy to day who has:
CRV Block
B18C5 internals and head
He claims a 12:1 compression on all four
Hondata S300 management system
AEM intake
misc fuel rail
RC 550cc injs.
FPR
MSD ignition, coil, and plugs
P28 ECU
13.7 afr through the board
VTEC engages set to 6k for engagement
He has neither of his O2 sensors connected and his PCV hose is non existent. He has a check engine light which we will find out the code tomorrow and i will post up. There was oil on his intake manifold between the runners but i am guessing it was from the PCV just spurting out excess shit onto it. I guess the question is, if he cannot resolve the check engine light and oil problem, would you trash the car? And if so how much could you get for it? He really just wants to make it run well because it is his daily.
Any suggestions are welcome. TIA.

no o2 sensors????????????? why trash the car, seems like all you need to do is install or hook up teh o2 sensors, connect the pcv, and good to go, what problem is he having other than the oil in the intake? when you dont have an o2 sensor its gonna have a check engine light unless its turned off in the ecu, which doesnt make sense to me

If he doesn't have an O2 sensor, he can't run closed loop.
Regardless, there are some already-known problems that need to be fixed and I wouldn't even mess with anything else on the car until those problems are addressed. He needs the O2 sensor and he needs the PCV hose.

I know i know!!! I am sorry about how ridiculous this sounds. But this is what i am told. I told him to hook up the O2 sensors and get the hose. Check the codes, reset the CEL and call me in the morning. I dont even know the guy. He's a friend of some guy in my platoon.
he says he is on his third motor and he doesnt seem to know much about cars in the first place. he said he just drops it off at his local shop in tuscan, az and they do all the work. It sounds to me like they are continually messing it up cause they know he will pay for whatever they say they did.

Re: Okay this is a weird one
thats not possible because b20 pistons are 84mm, the Type R, GSR, and even the b16 all have 81mm pistons. Unless he got some aftermarket type r piston and got them in 84mm(b20) size.
