Just curious who you are with and if you like the services. I am with Wachovia now and from day one delay in postings has been getting on my nerves. At one time i was with Bank of America but just don't like them...at least they posted purchases and other credits/debits without any delays.

So anyway i know there are a lot of smaller local banks in Vbch, if you're with any of them please give your two cents.

For those of us who can't use USAA....

I'm with BB&T. They've been ok. I wouldn't call them good, but not so bad that I'm looking to jump ship. Purchases using it as a credit card are fast, but using it as a debit car has a slight delay in posting. The things that really bug me are:

they charge you after a certain number of calls to customer service. Granted, they dropped the charges when I complained, but still, wtf is that.

BB&T branches typically keep bankers hours.

I went to deposit a check written by William & Mary yesterday, and they put a 5 day hold on it. Really? You think the state college 2 blocks from your branch is going to bounce a check?

I have had Chartway, Suntrust and BoA and like BoA most of all.

Suntrust was the worst bank I have EVER dealt with.
