I'm looking into the Newport News area and I'm trying to get a feel for what parts of town are ok and which parts should be avoided at all cost. I'm also open to parts of Hampton that are decent as well. Thanks for the feedback.

^ speaks the truth. after living in Hampton the majority of my life, it's a big 'ol pile of shit. not worth moving to unless you have a good amount of close friends or family here.

that being said, I like it... there's just bigger and better places to be. as long as you don't associate yourself with the mass amounts of trash in Hampton, you should be fine.

the area around CNU isn't bad. hilton village area is nice. oyster point is nice. the area around the airport is decent. that's about it.

South of Mercury is bad, north of Mercury is fine. I live in Hampton and I don't feel like my neighborhood is bad.

The fact reloaded is a NN resident local is always funny, because he hasn't gotten out of it. . .but it's the ONLY shit that doesn't stink.
