Need help from some educated people Please!!
I recently picked up a 94 Altima as a daily driver. It is high mileage. It runs horribly. Starts up fine and stays running. But at a stop it surges and almost feels like it is about to staul (but never does). Has extreme power loss. Feels like a sensor but honestly my knowledge is less extensive than i would like. Any ideas or volunteers to take a look at it that are pretty sure they could figure it out would be great. Thankyou.

wait till Joey's old ass wakes up in the morning he will probably know what's wrong. Could be a vacuum line or TPS, but who knows.

double post, check tech section. i will give some advice though: dont start parts swapping. it winds up costing more in the end usually (not to mention pissing off the person that has to deal with shadetree work to fix it right )
those systems are pretty simple, however, there are a few things that need to be checked in order.

I am 95% sure it's an O2 sensor. My girlfriend has a 95 or 96 BMW 318i. Her car was doing the same thing, big power loss... almost stalling at stops. Eventually started throwing CELs. The O2 sensor was blown out. Get that replaced and you should be all good.

I "work" on my car in the parking lot, or the local wash-it-yourself car wash by Dominoes. Not sure where you can get an O2 sensor. Might have to order it from a dealership, check ebay, junkyards (maybe?). Not too sure. Good luck with it though.
**edit: Here is a website I found. They look pretty pricey. http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/o...ensors/nissan/
I don't know what to tell you from here. I'm not a mechanic, so I don't want to say I'm 100% sure this is what you need. But hope I helped out.. hope you get it running better.
