That's exactly what I'm saying. There are numerous cars that I'd own other than a domestic, but my dad is a big Chevy guy and growing up with him around didn't help, but the fact remains that I think an LS1 Trans Am is one of the sexiest vehicles ever made, so I bought one. Some people think I'm stupid for selling it, but it was a good financial move towards my future. I told my fiance the other day as soon as I'm able I'm buying another one...a white one.

.. and i can make a 1983 thunderbird run a 12 for less than $1000 including the cost of the car, that doesn't mean it's smarter than owning a turbo'd Honda.. err.. turbo'd import.

i'll tell you what happened...competitiveness turned into hatred for one another.

you cant do anything in Virginia, without someone knocking you for it.

theres 12second boosted hondas..getting hated on by 13 second ones..simply because they cant hang...now given..i dont see a lot of domestics guys hating on each other..only when its ford vs. chevy..but the level of competition has risen so high..you have to put other people's shit down..just to feel confident enough to build your own.

There's a lot of hardcore domestic guys that hate Hondas unless they're running 10's. It happens. There's those same kind of guys that own imports. If your shit deserves respect it gets it from me.

Just for good measure How can any of you domestic hating import owners tell me that's not pretty. I swear I wish I still had it.

Mmmmm Nah, I am thinking that I have had more cars than just the 01 Camaro SS, for instance a nice 95 Z28, I cannot remember ever getting ripped while driving it, in fact I loved launching against AWD imports with it. The 2.73 rear on it made a perfect street light racer, did not spin with a good pair of tires on it, just a nice straight launch and call it a day. It was bone stock, no mods, no extra cash involved and it was cheaper than $8k. It was my daily driver while the 01 sat in the garage.

and i'll probably be building this stupid 240 well after i've bought an evo, m3, c6 z06, and built a 68 chevelle drag car.

but you know it's fairly easy to find those who are on the level. imo someone who can't appreciate a car or someone's work because it doesn't cater to their own preference doesn't belong in this hobby.

btw i'm not talking about ricing something out as being called 'work'. although i can still appreciate a quality show car.

oh wow. much respect to that. unfortuntley, i don't have all the necassary skills and recources to complete such a task. therefore, the mr2 was still the right choice for me. cheaper initial cost. great bang for the buck mods, relativley cheap insurance, reliable, good gas milage and so on.

I think I'm just gonna go with a 383 stroker sans blower in my Nova for now. Seeing as how we already have the internals and I don't have money for a blower. Plus I want to buy another F-body.
