D&D are good people. The next closest Triumph dealer is in the Richmond area. And I'm with skrooz on the Speed Triple. Love those things. I rode the D&D demo a couple of months ago...REALLY fun bike. Smooth power - and LOTS of it, great sound (even with the stock cans), handles great, reasonably comfortable, I could go on.

FWIW, the Speed Triple is more or less a Daytona 955i with no fairing, a bigger motor (1050cc), USD forks, and higher bars.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that Daytona 675 is a mellow beast!! The 675 is rated at 123 hp - that's up there with the big dogs. The Speed Triple and Daytona 955i only make a few more ponies - literally.

If you like the Daytona and want a 600 to find your groove on, look at a 2005 or earlier Daytona 650 or 600. Similar look, still uncommon, but a bit less extreme. And since the 675 came out you can find nice, low mileage 650 and 600 Daytonas dirt cheap. Talk to Bryan at D&D - he had a few nice '04 Daytonas traded in recently and they were selling for around 4 grand.
