Thanks god someone else knows about this place. I've been telling everyone I know around here to go try it and they all say basically the same thing, "That's so far."

I do not understand why someone would sit in traffic for 25+ minutes to get from point A in Va beach to point B in Va Beach, but won't drive the same amount of time on an interstate for good food.

The Village Tavern is right in that new Govenor's Pointe development out there next to Smithfield Gardens. You should definitely check that place out. Its more expensive than BC but the food is awesome and the place is simply wicked.

get the fucking funky chicken sause right, the pepper parm, ITS ALWAYS WRONG AND OFF, and the bread always tastes like stale texas toast, the chicken is always dry, i know exactly what the sauce should taste like and everytime its wrong and tastes like bad sour cream or something, one time we all went and weve been eating that sandwich for a long time, especially rob, and it was just so gross it was upsetting, i finally went back like 3 months later, i almost threw the sandwich across the room cause it was so bad, went there again with a few people but i did not eat, i had a bite of the funky chicken and i was happy that i didnt.and the last time i went the artichoke dip was bad as well, for some reason tasted like it was full of fucking mayonnaise. i have vowed to never go to that location again. ill make the drive to norfolk even though its 20 minutes away and the one on laskin is literally right down the street cause i know when i go there expecting a good sandwich, thats what im gonna get and thats why i dont go to the new one anymore cause i go in expecting a good sammy and i dont get it and i get pissed. my suggestion.... go with us to the one in norfolk, taste the sandwich, the sauce and other stuff with us, well tell you if its right. then go back and make it like that at the one you work at.
