Funny I got pulled over for this a month or so ago. Cop looked all over my car like I stole the fucking thing. Asks for liscence/registration and all that BS, and he's like "I know people with nice cars don't want to put holes in them and such but if I see you're car again without a front tag I'm taking it from you." I assume he meant my car...wtf.

I live about 100 ft away from the intersection where I was pulled over too. Makes me nervous everytime I drive home. Sometimes they sit at the intersection pulling random people over for stupid stuff. THAT is lame.

I had mine off for the longest time, just said fuck it and paid 3 tickets... but that shit got old, now I'm sportin the front plate

 

Yes it is illegal in VA. And yes I've been pulled. But I reasoned to the cop that my car doesn't come w/ license plate holes and it would be a shame to ruin my car by drilling holes in the front bumper. I got outta getting that ticket; but he still gave me an exhaust ticket.

 

i got pulled for my liscence plate not being on the front twice and he got me with an ehxaust ticket on top of that by the same cop in less then 2 weeks apart. first time i didnt have a plate in front cause it fell of my mesh, then i went and got another set and put the front one in my window and he still gave me another one, but fuck him i got out of all the tickets in court.

 

back when i had my riced out hatchback, i use to get pulled over like 3 times a week for stupid shit, no front plate was a big one. with the s2000 ive been pulled over 4 times and havent gotten a ticket YET. they dont seem to care about the plate on a $30,000 car.

 

So it seems; now if I could only get out of exhaust tickets for the same reason....

i had the top and bottom of my plates bent back on my old car to fit it in the kit so all u could really see was the #s and letters of my plates but a cop still gave me shit about it being illegal. no ticket tho.

 

I'm not running with one. Haven't since I got here (like 4 months or so) cause I don't want to put holes in my damn bumper.

Have yet to get pulled specifically for it (though I have been stopped several times and warned for speeding), and I've passed many a cop, either while driving, or when they are sitting watching oncoming traffic. I'll consider putting it on if I get pulled in regards to it.

Requiring a front plate is really dumb though. If a cop sees a car mathcing a description of one that's stolen or something...what do they do...flip a bitch and go at you from the rear...
