Have you forgotten where you live? VA is getting caught up with California in the cost of living.

Yeah I hope that gives them a garage or something to park their car in too. How big is the house? It'd really help if you posted pics of the house, rooms, etc.

Maybe he is being smart and charging enough to two people to cover his mortgage while he gets to live for free.

And with all utilities included, that's not too bad a price.

Sorry but that price is rediculous. That's 3 people in the house. I have a single family home w/ a 2 car garage in Va. Beach, which is more expensive than norfolk, and I only pay 1000.

That's definitely not the case at all. There are plenty of homes in Norfolk that cost way more than 1000/mo

Hell there are a ton of apts/condos that cost more than that

Yeah, try living in Ghent or downtown on Granby and see how much those places cost. And they are close to NOB as well.

Yes I know...but it's a single family home (aka a ranch). If he's paying more than 1500, which seems to be the case if he's splitting the price fairly, then that's getting ripped the hell off. Maybe if he comes back and there's a 4 car garage w/ an inground pool or something in the back then that's different. Hell, I was just looking at a 5 bedroom home w/ an inground pool and a pool house etc. for like $1800/month, and that's off Great Neck, a very nice area.
