Official Fishing Thread Saltwater/Freshwater
I am going to have to get out to the ocean front soon, I just read that they are catching blue fish, and spotted trout out in Rudee Inlet. Cocktail size blues are delicious.
I do not know the size limits personally but the game wardon was there and he said they were too small. I think ,don't quote me they should be atleast 36" for sandsharks. We caugth one sandshark and one black tip. I need to check regulations on them. We were really fishing to "keep" sharks anyways. Just testing the waters.
We caught the shark by just using a little blue fish for bait(legal?) Put a big hook right down his mouth.

Here are the regulations : http://www.mrc.state.va.us/regulatio...hingrules.shtm
The Cobia are also starting to hit, but have all been too small..

Where is seagull, and are they Blue fish, or still "Snapper" size, like less than 10 inches or so. Snapper size are delicious, and I would definitely make a trip for that.
Seagull is out on the first Island of the Chesapeak Bay Bridge Tunnel..
