there really is no pleasing you is there. then again i'm not out to please anyone's taste but my own.
Sure there is, however, it's not just a matter of taste. You can't give any rational or quantitative reason as to why you'd pick a baby eagle, other than the fact that you think it looks cool and it's cheap.
so then blaxican, what do you think of the USP seris from H&K, its what i was looking into before i saw the jericho. again the price is what pushed me away but if you're tellin me not to get it, i'll save up the extra hundred and put it towards one of those.
What is that you like in a weapon? Double action? Or Double Action Only? Polymer? Or steel? Stainless, Parkerized, or Blued? Find something that fits your hand well, and go from there. There are a lot of decent pistols out there than can be had for under $600. And although a Baby Eagle would be far from my first choice, it's not that bad.
If I had the money, I would love to go buy an H&K usp, or a sig. Alas, I dont, and have gotten 3 new guns in the last 2 months. So I guess Ill have to wait.

I think the Hk USP's are some of the best weapons for the money out there.
I used the LEO/Military version of the USP at Blackwater (Mk23). Now, that's a $4000 weapon, but you can get a very good used USP for around $600.

USP are good guns as well.
Sigs are also good guns for the money. As time has gone on, my tastes have gotten more expensive, but I think that you can get all the gun you need for between $500-$800.
If it's something you intend to carry, shoot often and have it work when you need it, it's well worth waiting.
